Helen Connor has been an Associate with Know & Do since its formation and also runs her own business delivering and facilitating workshops.
Most of her career has been spent working in the Third Sector, either as an Information Officer or Manager. Wherever she has worked she has been active in championing the skills development and networking of community groups.
In 2007, she co-designed the Inspiring Leaders seminar programme with Bernard Clarke and Andrew Ramwell. Inspiring Leaders is a 7 day practical leadership programme aimed at managers and leaders in Third Sector organisations which has now been delivered to more 250 leaders across the North of Engalnd. In 2010, Helen formed a steering group of interested agencies and delivered the first ‘Inspiring Leaders in Kenya’ programme – a wonderful experience.
She is passionate about supporting people in realising that they have the skills within to make positive changes to their lives and the lives of others.
Helen’s Masters degree is in Library and Information Sciences and her particular interest was in running an information service for people with a visual impairment.
Helen lives with Paul, Seth and Duncan Dog and has a season ticket for Manchester United.
